Physics in Advent is an Advent calendar with a difference: a physics Advent calendar. It enables us to present 24 small, single experiments and physics mysteries to young researchers and anybody who enjoys things like this. Their aim is to awaken your interest in doing experiments yourself or to make it exciting to watch them. 
In 2015 'PiA® - Physics in Advent' was presented as a MINT-DIY project and won second place in the innovation prize awarded by Göttingen rural district councel. 
SSVI provides 3 Bresser Nano 70/700 telescopes to this competition. 

How does the competition work?
From December 1st to 24th, a short video clip is released every morning at 5:00 AM presenting a simple physics experiment. The experiments are designed using basic, everyday household materials so you can easily recreate them at home or in the classroom. After watching or doing the experiment, you submit your answer to a multiple-choice question on the official PiA website before the daily deadline. The correct scientific answer and explanation are revealed via a solution video the very next morning.

By submitting your answers daily, you collect points. At the end of the event, the best participants, school classes, and entire schools can win a wide variety of amazing prizes in the international contest—including cool science gadgets, school equipment, and the telescopes proudly donated by SSVI.
