This quarterly competition is a joint initiative organized by L'Astronomie Afrique in close partnership with Radio France Internationale (RFI) and SSVI. Each time, a Bresser SSVI telescope can be won.

The main goal of the contest is to encourage people across Africa to look up, engage with science, and share their passion for the night sky. Participants are invited to share their personal experiences, stories, and observations of the African night sky. Submissions can take many forms to ensure anyone can join. Contestants can submit photos, written text, digital images, or hand-drawn sketches and illustrations. All entries must be send directly to the Astronomie Afrique facebook page.

Every quarter, the most moving, creative, or inspiring submission wins a high-quality astronomical telescope provided by SSVI, bringing the wonders of space closer to local communities and schools.
